Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane admits Achraf Hakimi is leaving because of finances.
Hakimi is on the verge of joining Inter in a move that came as a surprise to some Real Madrid fans, as they thought the 21-year-old might be able to return to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu after an impressive two-year loan spell at Borussia Dortmund.
"Hakimi is ours, but anything can happen here," Zidane noted.
"But there are two things at this club: the economic and the sporting [aspects].
"It's not the case to talk about that now.
"Things may happen soon, but I'm talking about the sporting part.
"I am interested in Achraf's situation, but it is something for the club.
"There is the club, a player and a coach.
"In the end, there are things that are decided and that's it."
Meanwhile, James Rodriguez has come out in public to state his frustration at not playing more regularly, which the Frenchman understands perfectly.
"James is telling the truth," Zidane commented.
"He wants to play more and that's normal. I understand that.
"But we're going to go until the end like this."
