Real Madrid coach Santiago Solari says they're alive in the LaLiga race after victory over Sevilla.

Los Blancos have passed two tough tests against Real Betis and Sevilla and will take confidence from these victories.

"We're going to fight for all three competitions until the end," Solari said in his post-match press conference.

"Nothing is impossible for Real Madrid.

"The three points are always worth more when they come against a direct rival."

The opening goal came via a long-range Casemiro strike and the Argentine explained that getting lots of shots off was part of their plan.

"We knew that we'd have to find space somehow, as they had been defending well," he said.

"There was a clear chance for Vinicius in the first half.

"Then we insisted and insisted until one went in."
