Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is delighted with the form of Aurelien Tchouameni.

The France midfielder is viewed as a successor for Casemiro, who left for Manchester United last year.

Ancelotti said, "He surprised us all in the first part of the season because he is very young and he comes to Real Madrid. He assumed the position of a legend like Casemiro.

After the World Cup he lowered the level. He is not the third option, although Kroos and Camavinga have played. Of the last nine league games he has played eight.

"He is a very important piece for the future."
