Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was delighted with their 1-0 win against Granada.

Marco Asensio struck the winner on Sunday.

Ancelotti beamed, "It's very good news because we got the three points, thanks to a very good second half performance. The team produced a good performance. We're not at our best at the moment. We've got a week now to recover some of the injured players, which will be important. It was an important match and I'm pleased with the commitment of the players.

"We had a very good reaction from everyone, both those who started and those who came on, giving the team a very good boost. I don't like to take the credit because when we lose, it's the coach's fault and when we win, it's down to the team. The players should be on the front page and the fans really helped us in the second half."

On Asensio, he said: "He's a very important player. He's scored a lot this season, he's made a lot of goals, and is very committed defensively, which is important for us.

"I don't know if he's a starter, but he's an important player. He is reliable, he works hard and we won the game today thanks to his best quality, his shooting. He returned from a difficult period of injuries full of confidence."
