Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has defended Zinedine Zidane.

Zizou's Castilla team have failed to win promotion to the Segunda Division.

But Ancelotti argued: "The academy's main aim is to improve the standard of the young players.

"In that aspect he has done a fantastic job because now the club have players with big futures ahead of them."
