Real Madrid coach Ancelotti admits change of tactics needed

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits a change of tactics is in the planning ahead of today's clash at Rayo Vallecano.

Ancelotti says we may see a change in formation and tactics from his side going into this one.

"The story of this season was that we started with a very clear idea, defending with 4-4-2, but after the defeat against Espanyol we tried to defend with a low block and it worked well, winning 10 games in a row," he said.

"But, after that, we had more problems in counter-attacking and we've thought about pressing a bit higher up the pitch now."

He also spoke about how the conflict in the Ukraine has affected goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

"I have spoken to him, and so has the president, to show him we're there for him," the Italian said.

"War is a horror, so the only thing we can do is be close to him and there for him.

"It's clear that he doesn't have the spirit he had before. He has people close to him in Kyiv, his mother and friends, and it's normal for him to worry. The training helps him and he is very serious."
