Real Madrid have snapped up West Ham United midfielder Julien Faubert on a six-month loan deal.

The French international midfielder, 25, made the shock move after weeks of speculation over his future at Upton Park.

Real's ex-Tottenham boss Juande Ramos will be able to call on Faubert for Champions League action, as he has not played in Europe this season.
