Real Madrid chiefs are weighing up what to do with Martin Odegaard.

The Norway midfielder has just completed the first of a two-season loan with Real Sociedad, but there is consideration in Madrid of recalling him early for next term.

Marca says while Odegaard sees his future with Madrid, he wants to play regularly next season and would be open to continuing his loan with La Real.

With the presence of Luka Modric, Casemiro, Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos in Madrid's midfield, there is a concern that Odegaard's progress could be held back should he return.

As such, Madrid management are now discussing whether it's worth the risk to cut short Odegaard's loan before preseason kicks off.
