Real Madrid chiefs fed-up with Belgian interference over Hazard fitness plans

Real Madrid chiefs are becoming increasingly fed-up with the interference of Belgium's team medical chiefs in their handling of Eden Hazard.

Hazard was forced out of Real's Champions League victory over Atalanta this week with another injury setback and team doctors from Belgium are urging the national team captain to undergo ankle surgery. The belief is the removal of a plate from his ankle could see the end of his injury woes.

However, any operation would also see his season written off, though he would be expected to be fit for the Euros.

For the moment, Real staff have convinced Hazard not to go under the knife, though they're also aware Belgium's medicos are in constant contact with the player, reports El Chiringuito. For their part, Real medical chiefs insist the plate is perfectly placed on the ankle and Belgium's assessment is simply wrong.
