Real Madrid chief Emilio Butragueno insists Luca Zidane deserved his place.

Real coach Zinedine Zidane selected his goalkeeper son for the 3-2 win over Huesca on Sunday.

Butragueno said: "In both goals we cannot blame him, this is a team, we all win and we all lose, the squad offers many options."

On Karim Benzema's wonder goal, he added: "He has scored a beautiful goal and played football very well, he is very valuable.

"We have to be focused on Wednesday and we still have weeks with games of great importance, in Valencia it's going to be complicated and we have to prepare for it well."
