Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos expects a bitter "fight" against Atletico Madrid in the final of the Supercopa de Espana.
On Los Blancos' opponents, Ramos spoke highly of Diego Simeone and the Atletico players.
"They're an uncomfortable rival, with a great coach and a great team.
"They fight until the last ounce of hope.
"We are prepared and we will fight to the death for this title," he stated.
The new format of the Supercopa de Espana has been widely discussed and, even though it has benefited Real Madrid this year, Ramos maintains it is positive for Spanish football as a whole.
"The format doesn't depend on us, but on the [Spanish Football] Federation, and they have done it well.
"The Supercopa has recovered its value, there are now four teams competing.
"It favours us this years as we were one of the invitees.
"Maybe next year, other teams will arrive to compete. It is very well organised. And if the clubs and the Federation benefit..."
