Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos sent a message to Isco after their Champions League win at Ajax.

Isco was left at home by Real coach Santiago Solari, though management have insisted the midfielder wasn't fit enough to be part of the travelling party.

After the victory, however, Ramos stated: "I think in everything, the personal state should be in the shadow of the collective thinking of the group.

"It can be a complicated situation and for that teammates are there to give a hug and love, but the team comes first. Nobody is essential and competition serves to alert other players.

"The competition is above all a player's business, and the coach is responsible for making the decisions. We must therefore have the greatest respect for that."
