Real Madrid captain Marcelo has been handed a three match ban following his red card against Elche in the Copa del Rey.
The Brazilian was given a one-game suspension for the straight red card and another two matches for telling the referee "you are very bad".
Marcelo will serve the punishment in the Copa del Rey, meaning he will miss the quarter-final against Athletic Club as well as the potential two-legged semi-final.
As it is under four games, the ban will be served in the same competition, and is treated differently to the Supercopa given the irregularity of competing in that competition.
