Real Madrid attacker Alvaro Rodriguez is starring for Uruguay in the U20 South American Championships.
The 18-year-old, from Palamos in Spain, chose to represent Uruguay in the South American U20 Championship being played in Colombia and the Uruguayan national team have felt his impact immediately.
The Real Madrid Castilla striker scored a hat-trick against Bolivia (4-1) and with it, he put his country into the next stage of the tournament that brings together the best young talent in South America.
Rodríguez scored a second-half hat-trick after Bolivia made it 1-0 in the fifth minute. It was a performance to remember for the many scouts present at the tournament.
However, Madrid are calm as Rodriguez signed a new contract at the end of last year until 2027.
