Real Madrid boss Zidane snaps: Keylor? No-one tells me who plays

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was snappy yesterday over his goalkeeper plans.

It's been suggested Zidane has told Keylor Navas to leave after being told by the board that Thibaut Courtois must be their No1 next season.

Ahead of facing Real Betis, Zidane barked, "I'll tell you who's the No.1 and the No.2 at the start of next season. It's my decision. Who do you think names the team? I'm the coach and obviously I'm always going to do what I want.

"If that wasn't the case, I'd be gone. In terms of the signings, we've got people here at the club that work on it and we work together. But me and my coaching staff are the ones who name the starting XI and the bench."

On Keylor leaving, he added: "That's not the way I see things, I'm not thinking and nor do I want to think about next season. There's a lot of talk about what's going to happen: that so and so-and-so is staying and so-and-so is leaving, that I've said goodbye to Keylor, that I want him to leave…

"We've got a game tomorrow and what I've said is that the situation regarding the goalkeepers next season will be crystal clear. That's all there is to it. We'll have to see what happens."
