Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has convinced president Florentino Perez to press ahead with a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba.
Zidane has long made Paul Pogba his No.1 choice, despite United's reticence to sell and a potential £160million transfer fee.
Now, after Zidane made clear that he has no interest in either Ajax youngster Donny van de Beek or Tottenham's Christian Eriksen, according to a number of sources, Perez is back on the clock looking to seal a deal to take World Cup winner Pogba to the Spanish capital, says the Mirror.
Pogba, who already speaks Spanish, has two years left on his deal at Old Trafford and would jump at the chance to link up with his compatriot at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Now United face a battle to keep Pogba, three years after his return from Juventus.
