Real Madrid have announced Ezequiel Garay has suffered a serious knee injury.
Defender Garay dislocated his right kneecap in friendly action against Bayern Munich last week.
A statement on Madrid's official website reads:
"An MRI performed at Sanitas La Moraleja Hospital has confirmed that Real Madrid C.F.'s Ezequiel Garay dislocated his right kneecap but without any further damage to adjacent areas. The player will begin treatment pending progress and further complementary diagnostic testing if needed."
