Real Madrid midfielder Xabi Alonso says Liverpool's fans are the best he will ever play for.

Xabi faces his first El Clasico tomorrow at Barcelona.

And he told the Daily Mail: "I have always felt very appreciated.

"From the first day I have had the support of the Liverpool fans - honestly I think they are the best supporters I have ever had and will ever have. That's why I have been so grateful."
