Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo was struck by a lighter thrown from the Atletico Madrid crowd during last night's Copa del Rey semifinal win. The Portuguese was walking towards the tunnel at halftime when he was hit in the head by a lighter hurled from the stands.
After the game, Real captain Iker Casillas remarked: "There is always someone that tries to smear the image of a club like Atlético Madrid and it doesn't reflect how the majority of their fans are. I think the consequences could be serious because it could have hurt a player."
