Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric insists he wasn't offended by Cristiano Ronaldo's absence last night.
Ronaldo snubbed last night's FIFA gala as former Real teammate Modric was awarded The Best title ahead of the Portuguese.
Modric said: "He's my friend, I was not bothered by his absence, I won the prize but Mohamed (Salah) and Cristiano are great.
"It's worse to speak in public than to take a penalty, my legs are shaking more here than on the field, I did not have anything very prepared, I had some things in my head and it came out, I hope you like it."
He said of his future: "My thoughts have always been the same, I have never seen myself outside of Madrid.
"I would like to finish my career at Madrid, but you have to see what happens in the future, it's a very demanding club, you have to go little by little, year after year, depending on how you play."
