Real Madrid ace Eden Hazard determined to be fit for Man City

Real Madrid ace Eden Hazard is pushing to be fit for their Champions League clash with Manchester City.

The Belgian star, who has made only 13 appearances for Real since his £150 million switch from Chelsea in the summer, has been sidelined with a hairline fracture of his ankle, which is expected to keep him out for another three weeks.

The Daily Express says he could be fit for the Madrid derby with Atletico on February 1, but Hazard has told friends that his more realistic aim is to be fully ready for Real's last 16 Champions League first leg clash with Pep Guardiola and City at the Bernabeu on February 26.

Hazard suffered the injury against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League in November, and both he and Real are treating his return with caution so as to prevent a recurrence of the problem.
