Real Betis veteran Joaquin will hunt down the LaLiga appearances record before he retires at the end of the season.

Joaquin has announced he will retire at the end of this campaign.

At 41, Joaquin is only seven games away from equaling Andoni Zubizarreta's record, who played 622 games in the maximum Spanish league.

Joaquin currently occupies the second position, ahead of Raul Garcia, Raul Gonzalez Blanco and Eusebio Sacristan.

With nine games to go in 2022/23 LaLiga, Joaquin is on track to break this historic record.
