Real Betis veteran Joaquin admits he's pinching himself today after his stunning hat-trick against Athletic Bilbao.
At 38 years of age, Joaquin hit the first treble of his career in Sunday's win and in the process became the LaLiga's oldest player to do so.
"The truth is that I had to pinch myself to see if it was true," he said.
"That they continue to see me at this point as an important footballer offers me morale and joy.
"I try to be one more and contribute the best I can."
Interestingly, once he hangs up the boots, Joaquin has ambitions of becoming Betis president. The midfielder holds a 2 per cent stake in the club after buying shares worth €2m.
