Real Betis are set to name Joan Francesc Ferrer Rubi as new coach.

The Espanyol boss is set to leave for Betis, which will have to cough up compensation to sign him.

Betis will pay around €1m to Espanyol to ferry Rubi away on a three-year deal worth €1.4m-a-season.

Rubi will succeed Quique Setien, who stepped down at the end of the season.

The 49 year-old won promotion with Huesca in 2017/18 before moving to Espanyol last summer.
