Villarreal pair Jefferson Montero and Javier Matilla have moved to Real Betis.
Ecuadorian winger Montero has arrived on a season-long loan with no clause for a permanent deal, while midfielder Matilla moves on a permanent contract.
Montero, 21, spent the second half of last season on loan at Levante and made 11 league appearances as they avoided relegation.
Spaniard Matilla made 14 league appearances for Villarreal and his contract with Betis also includes the option for an extra year after the initial three.
The double deal is reported to be worth 1.4million (£1.25m) for Villarreal.
