Real Betis goalkeeper Claudio Bravo: I had offers to leave, but...

Real Betis goalkeeper Claudio Bravo says he had offers to leave this summer.

Bravo didn't re-sign until late into the summer market due to Betis' financial problems.

He told Canal Sur: "I had the opportunity to leave. Either I stayed here or my career was over. We are very comfortable and the other would not please me.

"I'm not going to lie, there were a couple of offers to leave, but we rejected them. Family is very important for me and we're happy here.

"I had a bad time because one wants to train and play, but I had confidence in the club that it would be resolved.

"It keeps me alive to see the stadium full and the pressure that seeing the fans gives you. I have my mind set here, I would be happy if I stayed. We are very comfortable. It is a good club, amazing dressing room and coaching staff. And the family is settled, that's what keeps me going."

On a recall with Chile, Bravo added: "Doing things the way I'm doing them will keep the doors of the national team open for me. That depends on the coach, but I know how to prepare and how to compete."
