Real Betis have made a move for Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz.
Mundo Deportivo says Betis chief Lorenzo Serra Ferrer has approached Madrid about taking Mariano on-loan to June - with a permanent option.
Mariano is open to the move after finding himself sidelined since his summer arrival from Lyon.
Interestingly, Mariano was all set to sign for Betis' rivals Sevilla over summer in a €30m-plus deal - before Real Madrid's intervention.
Mariano has managed just one LaLiga start for Real this season.
