Real Betis fullback Junior Firpo has jumped to the defence of coach Quique Setien after defeat to Leganes.

After the setback, Setien launched a furious attack on Leganes' style of play.

But Junior insists: "I have not heard the statements if I am sincere. I do not think the boss despises anyone, he is a very respectful person with the work of other colleagues.

"What he has said is a subject of his."

Junior added: "We have a very recognisable style throughout Spain.

"We have our style and we try to play in this way, if one day we cannot we still try otherwise."
