Real Betis fullback Emerson says his future is with Barcelona.

Betis and Barcelona brought Emerson to Spain from Atletico Mineiro in a complicated deal which should eventually see the fullback join the Catalans.

He told Mundo Deportivo: "I have in my head that I will go to Barça, that I will play to win the Champions League and other titles. It's my turn to do my best." Barça are in regular contact and Emerson also said: "They tell me that I am doing well, that I must continue working so, soon, I might go to Barcelona."

His move from Betis is scheduled to happen in 2021, but Emerson says he could leave before if compensation is paid.

He added: "Yes, there is a clause but if I go to Barcelona, Barça must pay a fee, I do not know how much is."
