Real Betis are expecting to Tottenham Hotspur to sign Giovanni Lo Celso permanently in January.
The Argentina international is currently on loan at Spurs, with both clubs agreeing on an optional price of €32million in January or an obligated price of €40m in the summer.
As reported by Estadio Deportivo - via the Evening Standard - Real Betis president Angel Haro told a shareholders meeting: "[Tottenham] will exercise it because if they don't they will be [charged more] in June.
"They may also have to exercise the mandatory [clause].
"We understand that they will exercise it, but if not [we will be] delighted with the player [returning]."
