Real Betis have confirmed Napoli have signed Fabian Ruiz.

The midfielder is to replace Manchester City bound Jorginho, and he took his medical this week.

“La Liga has communicated to Real Betis that SSC Napoli have paid the buyout clause of Fabian Ruiz," a statement on the club's website confirmed.

“In this way, the player will leave Real Betis. The Verdiblanco clubs effusively thanks Fabián for his commitment and attitude during his time at the club and wishes him all the best in Italy.

“Fabian, this will always be your home."

Napoli then officially confirmed the transfer.

"Napoli announces the permanent signing of the player Fabian Ruiz Pena from Real Betis, he has signed a contract until June 20, 2023."
