Real Betis coach Manuel Pellegrini admits his players are "emotionally" floored after elimination from the Europa League.
A 1-1 draw in extra-time at Entracht Frankfurt saw Betis lose the round 16 tie 3-2 on aggregate.
Pellegrini said: "Of course it is emotional to first score a goal in added time to take you through to extra time and then to lose in the last minute of that extra time. But that is why football is the world's most popular game.
"I am proud of the effort we put in tonight and how we played and scored that late goal.
"We did not lose the tie tonight but in Seville where we did not enjoy a good game."
