Reading boss Brian McDermott has warned fans not to expect any late arrivals at the Madejski Stadium. The club have not received any parachute payments this season as they begin a third campaign in the Championship and McDermott will not be adding to his squad this month.

McDermott said: "We run the club as sensibly as we possibly can.

"If the money was there the board would sanction something but it's not there and we can't do anything about that.

"We are not in a situation to bring anybody in at this moment in time.

"I'm happy with my squad and I have absolute faith in the players we have."
