Swansea City face competition from Reading for Manchester City defender Joel Latibeaudiere.

The Daily Mail says Swansea are hopeful of beating Reading to the loan signing of Latibeaudiere.

The 20-year old England Under 20 international is wanted as Swansea brace themselves for new bids for centre back Joe Rodon before the window closes.

The Swans are hopeful that they can finalise an agreement for Latibeaudiere who has yet to make a senior appearance for Pep Guardiola's outfit.

However he did make his senior bow last season on loan with Twente in Holland and will be keen to pick up more first team experience.

Latibeaudiere has been with City since he was 13-years-old and was part of the England side that defeated Spain to win the Under 17 World Cup three years ago.
