Reading star John Swift says leaving Chelsea was the right decision.

Swift insists it was no wrench to leave Chelsea in pursuit of regular football.

“It was sensible as I wanted to play for a team, in the first team and men's football," he said ahead of their play-off final with Huddersfield. “It was a big call as well as I didn't know whether I would do well or the team would do well.

“It was a risky move as well as I could have gone to the club and not played. It has definitely paid off and I'm glad to have moved and finally got settled at the club and got first team football."
