Reading failed with a deadline day bid for Tottenham teenager Tashan Oakley-Boothe.

The Royals submitted a £1.5million bid to the Premier League club late yesterday, but saw their offer turned down, says the Mirror.

He made his Spurs first team debut against Barnsley in a League Cup tie in 2017, aged just 17.

Later that year, he was part of the England side who won the Under-17 World Cup.

Since then, he has impressed for the U23's but is likely to go on loan to League One or abroad in search of first team football.
