Reading fullback Andy Griffin will have mixed emotions knocking Everton out of the FA Cup.
Griffin started his playing career at Newcastle United but revealed to evertonfc.com that his roots are firmly based in the North-West of England.
He said: "I am an Everton fan and I grew up an Everton fan. I'm originally from Wigan and my family are from Kirkby, just down the road.
"My grandad was a Blue, my dad was a Blue and certain members of my family were Blue or Red.
"But I grew up a Blue, Duncan Ferguson was my hero and I was very fortunate to play with him (at Newcastle) and David Unsworth (at Portsmouth) - two players as I watched growing up," added Griffin.
"I had all the kits, and I managed to get down to Goodison, but not as often as I would like."
