Reading chairman John Madejski admits he will struggle to find a buyer for the club if they fail to beat the drop on Sunday.
Madejski said: "I don't want to start talking about recriminations, but everyone here has to take responsibility for what has happened.
"You have more chance of selling in the Premier League than in the Championship. If the unthinkable happens, the opportunity, that moment, might be gone.
"But, no, I won't walk away. There would have to be cutbacks, of course, and we would have to do our best to emerge again."
