Reading are closing in on Nantes midfielder Emerse Fae.

The Ivory Coast international is being made available by his French club and Reading only need to see off Bordeaux to clinch his signing.

The Royals had a £4 million bid rejected in January, but now can snap up the midfielder for around £2.75 million.

Fae and his agent will be in England later this week for talks with Reading officials.
