Brian McDermott is set to go back into the transfer market when the loan window reopens next week. The Reading boss sold top scorer Gylfi Sigurdsson to Hoffenheim on transfer deadline day in a club-record deal and quickly used some of the funds to add two defenders to his squad.
But he is keen to further bolster numbers after narrowly missing out on more.
He said: "We've obviously lost a fantastic player in Gylfi but it was a big deal for the club.
"And straight off the back of that we've brought in Ian Harte and Zurab Khizanishvili.
"We missed out on a couple of loan players too but the emergency loan window opens up next week."
