Reading boss Jose Gomes has cooled talk of a move for Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira.

The Championship club are refusing to comment on speculation linking them with the stopper

Royals boss Gomes said: “In this period rumours are normal. But we lose time if we start talking about rumours."

Pereira's United future appears unclear.

The keeper was recalled from his loan at Vitoria this week.
