RB Salzburg chief Christoph Freund admits signing Sadio Mane involved explaining where the club was located!

Liverpool star Mane was spotted by Freund at Metz before making the move to Austria.

Freund recalled to AS: "I was at Metz, in the French Third Division. We did videoscouting of him in the matches of the Senegalese Olympic team.

"We liked him because he fitted our style and was super fast.

"But it was not easy. He was 19 years old and asked us where Salzburg was. Back then we weren't that well known...!"
