RB Leipzig striker Yussuf Poulsen is backing former Timo Werner to be a big hit for Chelsea.

Werner chose to join Chelsea rather than play out the Champions League campaign this month with RBL.

Poulsen told Sport1: "I think Timo in the next few years will be a great striker in the Premier League.

"Of course, he must first get to know his teammates and the league, and you cannot show your qualities right away, but it will probably come with time."

For his part, the Dane says: "At some point I would definitely like to try something else, but I am only 26 years old and am very happy in Leipzig. Had I planned my career ten years ago, I would not have thought I would play seven years in Leipzig, at that time I would not have heard of the club at all."
