RB Leipzig coach Rose: Two very, very different halves for Man City draw

RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose was delighted with their fightback against Champions League opponents Manchester City.

The round of 16 first-leg finished 1-1 in Germany on Wednesday night.

Rose said, "Two very, very different halves. We just didn't happen in the first half, just chased the ball, were very bad when we had it. The second was quite different, we were better with the ball, won it back better and played how we had envisioned to play.

"If we had had better possession, we could have attacked them with counter-pressing in their own half. But we lost first and second balls in the first half, we were not on Champions League level in all regards before the break.

"Sure, Henrichs sort of changed the game. We played [Klostermann] first, counting on his defensive qualities, we knew there would be many one-on-one situations. But Klostermann is coming from an injury and it was certain that he would make way for Henrichs already before the match.

"When the boys come to me after the match and tell me that they are a very different team when pressing high, that's true, but it is also about what you do when you are in possession."
