RB Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann concedes he has ambitions beyond the Bundesliga outfit.

Nagelsmann has been linked with Barcelona as an eventual successor to Ernesto Valverde.

And he told ZDF: "I have said many times, Barcelona is a beautiful city, a beautiful club.

"But this is not the only club that is attractive. Borussia Dortmund? It is true that there was an interest there. In football, timing and form are always the key, and that did not fit, so I did not go there.

"The timing was not appropriate and BVB did not want to wait."
