RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff says they haven't had contact with Chelsea about Timo Werner's signing.
Chelsea do not have to alert RBL to their plans if they're to pay Werner's buyout clause.
"We haven't had an exchange with Chelsea yet," Mintzlaff told Sky Deutschland. "So far, Timo Werner has not drawn the clause, nor has a club sent a transfer contract.
"We have nothing to report and do not take part in the daily speculation."
Chelsea are expected to pay Werner's €50m buyout clause in the coming days.
