RB Leipzig chief Christopher Vivell has been added to Chelsea's sporting director recruitment search.
The London Evening Standard says Blues co-owner Todd Boehly has confirmed he wants to follow the Red Bull multi-club model and has targeted Vivell after missing out on RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund.
Chelsea plan to appoint both a sporting director and a technical director and are set to step up the interview process for both roles next month.
German Vivell has been technical director at Leipzig since 2020 and has been responsible for transfers and scouting. He was previously at Salzburg where, along with Freund, he helped unearth Erling Haaland.
Chelsea have also been in talks with Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Tim Steidten, while they have been linked with Victor Orta from Leeds, Atalanta talent scout Lee Congerton, Sevilla director of football Monchi and Rui Pedro Braz at Benfica.
