RB Leipzig boss Julian Nagelsmann admits they're on borrowed time with Dayot Upamecano.
Chief amongst the 21-year-old's suitors are Manchester United and Arsenal, who were heavily linked with swoops earlier this summer.
But Leipzig resisted interest from the Premier League and across Europe to tie Upamecano down to a new three-year deal in July.
Nagelsmann told ESPN: "He [Upamecano] will be here for the season. I'm sure about that. As for the future, I'm not sure as he is very talented.
"Lots of clubs will want to buy - next season it could be real that he leaves the club. But this season he will stay."
