Rawlins says Hughes right manager for Stoke

Departing Stoke City director Phil Rawlins supports the appointment of manager Mark Hughes.

Rawlins is leaving Stoke to focus his energies on Orlando City after their acceptance into MLS.

On Hughes, he told The Sentinel: "He is making big changes to our style of play and that takes time. He inherited a group of players who weren't bought to play an expansive passing game, so he needs time to bring in players who are comfortable in his system.

"Given time, he will prove to be a great manager for Stoke."
