Real Madrid captain Raul admitted they lacked spark in last night's shock 2-1 defeat at home by Roma.
"We were able to draw level, but we could not overcome them. Roma played a very good game.
"There are days when things don't work for you and today has been one of them. The Champions League was clearly one of our great objectives.
"Roma always were very well organised and worked very hard to get back when we attacked. We did not have the magic of other nights. It has been a very hard blow and we must now focus ourselves only and exclusively on the Liga, where we have a five point advantage and must maintain or even extend it."
